Week 6 Blogs

Hi Bloggers… I hope that everyone had a really nice and relaxing week.  Now that we are back to the grind, let’s talk about our reactions to the stations this evening.  Just to recap, there were four stations that we rotated through- spending thirty minutes on each one.

During the tutorial by Kelly, we got talking about MI… and I actually went to one of his sites and found out that I was a kinesthetic/interpersonal learning.  With that being said, I thought that it was interesting to find the stations geared to my learning styles- were the ones that I truly was interested.  Honestly, for some I felt bored and unenthusiastic- but I guess that that shows you how your teaching styles and the learning opportunities that you use in your classroom can affect the growth of your students.

Personally, I really enjoyed the sites that were geared towards Verbal/Linguistic learners.  I thought that the tools and acitivites offered were awesome, interactive, and amusing.  This was definately a site that I would incorporate into my lang. arts program- for any grade level.

What do you guys think??

I would have to agree that I found the stations more interesting if they appealed to my intelligences. The only one I really didn’t enjoy was the one that had us read about different projects classroom teachers could invovle their students in. They were to relate to interpersonal/intrapersonal but I think those will be great websites for me to visit when I want to implement something like that into my classroom. Other than that I enjoyed all of the stations and learned about a few new great resources.
